The second generation of the Panamera model is based on the refreshed MSB platform. The body consists of 50% aluminum components, which made it possible to reduce the weight by 100 kg. In addition, only the Porsche Panamera Turbo S was offered in the USA, while in Europe there was an even weaker Porsche Panamera Turbo.

In 2023, more changes appeared, which were related to the preparation for the arrival of the third generation. These included, among other things, redesigned bumpers, optional body-colored exhaust tips, new trim options, new optional equipment options - for example, the Turbo S E-Hybrid and GTS have an optional BlueCruise system with a level of autonomy of 2+.

In 2019, the Porsche Panamera 10th Anniversary Edition was introduced, about 150 units were delivered to the USA. It is based on the Panamera 4 and 4 E-Hybrid and is characterized by stylistic changes (21" Sport Design rims, white stitching upholstery, Premium package as standard, etc.). In 2022 and 2023, the Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition was offered, which included stylistic changes and additional equipment in the form of doors with soft-close system, Assistance package with InnoDrive and Surround View, etc.

• 4.0 V8 Twin Turbo Hybrid - offered in the Turbo S E-Hybrid variant, a total power of 680 hp, and since 2021 the power has increased to 689 hp;
• 2.9 V6 Hybrid - offered in the 4 E-Hybrid variant, a total output of 455 hp, and as of 2021 the power has increased to 463 hp.

• Base (Panamera) - including 19" wheels, LED headlights with PDLS and cornering lighting, multimedia system with a 12'3" screen with Apple CarPlay (from 2021 also with Android Auto), adaptive 2-position spoiler that extends automatically at 145 km/h, seats with 8-way adjustment, Porsche Stability Management systems, automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors and camera reversing, in 2021 a character recognition system was added;
• Panamera 4 - equipment from the Base version enriched with heated rear seats and additional ventilation for rear passengers and parking sensors in front;
• Panamera 4S - including enlarged air intakes in the bumpers, chrome exhaust tips, adaptive 4-position spoiler, front seats with 14-way adjustment, ventilation and heating, sports steering wheel (from 2021 heated and with mode switch), adaptive cruise control, 360 cameras;
• Panamera GTS - including 20" wheels, LED dimmable rear lights with dynamic direction indicators, SportDesign styling package, sports exhaust system, adaptive 4-position spoiler, leather and Alcantara seats, adjustable in 18 directions, heated and ventilated, and from 2021 with improved lateral support, GT sports steering wheel with heating and upholstery from Alcantara, dashboard finished with carbon fiber or brushed aluminum, Sport Chrono Package with Launch Control;
• Panamera Turbo (until 2020) and Turbo S (from 2021) - 20" wheels (21" from 2021), LED Matrix headlights with PDLS Plus, bumpers with enlarged air intakes, adaptive spoiler with 4 positions (in Turbo S enlarged), leather seats with 18-way adjustment, and from 2021 with massage, board dashboard finished in wood or carbon fiber, from 2021, HUD display and Blue Cruise system as standard, swivel rear axle, 360 camera, and in Turbo S Night Vision as standard;
• Panamera 4 E-Hybrid - equipment as in the Panamera 4, additionally, among others, heated steering wheel (from 2021), air conditioning with cooling or heating function while stationary, adaptive cruise control (from 2021);
• Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid - most of the equipment elements as in the Turbo S, and interesting additions include the level 2+ autonomous driving package added in 2021, InnoDrive and Night Vision systems, 10'9" screen for the passenger (from 2021).

Additional equipment packages:

• Premium Package - panoramic roof, BOSE audio, ventilated seats;
• Sport Package - Sport Chrono package (including Launch Control), sports exhaust, PTV Plus;
