The base version was joined by a more luxurious SE, which had, among other things, leather upholstery, accessories imitating wood, and optionally also two-color painting. As an option, the Super Track Pak package with even larger brakes and a more efficient radiator was offered. Between SE and R/T there was also an intermediate variant with the designation 500. VI generation (2005-2010)

After two unsuccessful attempts to reduce the Charger to compete with Japanese and European cars, the model disappeared from the market in 1987 and returned in 2005. By the way, it underwent another huge revolution, as from that moment it began to be offered in a sedan body. The car was based on the same platform as the Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum. The Dodge Charger SRT-8 also appeared for the first time.

The seventh generation referred in shape to the previous one, but its styling became more streamlined and aggressive.
