In 1970, the grill and taillights were redesigned. The second generation gained additional fame after the appearance in the film “Bullit”.

In the basic version, the list of standard equipment included, among others, sofa seats and AM radio. The novelty was the R/T (Road/Track) variant with improved suspension, 440 Magnum and 426 HEMI engines. Front disc brakes were offered as an option. In 1969, the Charger Daytona appeared, which was a road homologated racing car.

III generation (1971-1974)

In 1971, the next generation of the Charger was introduced. The car has undergone stylistic changes and has become even more streamlined while maintaining the concept of a bottle shape. In 1973, changes were made to the appearance, which were dictated by new regulations. These were, among other things, energy-absorbing bumpers. In 1974, they were changed again.

In the third generation of the model, there were again 6 engines and the production of the in-line six continued, but its power was significantly reduced due to changes in regulations and the fuel crisis. The offering was joined by a 5.6 V8 and left by a 7.2 V8 Six-Pack.

The base version was joined by a more luxurious SE, which had, among other things, leather upholstery, accessories imitating wood, and optionally also two-color painting. The R/T version was available with 383 Magnum, 440 Magnum and 426 HEMI engines. It had a sporty suspension and bigger brakes. As an option, the Super Track Pak package with even larger brakes and a more efficient radiator was offered. Between SE and R/T there was also an intermediate variant with the designation 500. The list of optional equipment included bucket seats, air conditioning and radio with cassette player.

VI generation (2005-2010)

After two unsuccessful attempts to reduce the Charger to compete with Japanese and European cars, the model disappeared from the market in 1987 and returned in 2005. By the way, it underwent another huge revolution, as from that moment it began to be offered in a sedan body. The car was based on the same platform as the Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum. The Dodge Charger SRT-8 also appeared for the first time.

In the sixth generation of the model, 4 engines were offered. These were V6 and V8 units.

The SRT8 version had a 6.1 HEMI engine, Brembo brakes, bucket seats with SRT emblems, sports suspension and 20" alloy wheels.

VII generation (2011-2023)

The seventh generation referred in shape to the previous one, but its styling became more streamlined and aggressive. The rear LED strip alluded to the model from the 60s, as did the LED rings in the headlights. In 2015, the styling was updated and the car acquired a more muscular body line. In 2020, the Widebody version with widened wheel arches was introduced, among others.
