Toyota Sienna - III generation (2010-2020)

Toyota Sienna was based on the Camry platform from the very beginning. It is no different with the 3rd gen., which was based on the Toyota Camry XV40. For weight reduction, the hood, tailgate and doors are made of aluminum. The car can be front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). There are only automatic transmissions to choose from - until 2016 6-speed, and from 2017 - 8-speed.

The car went through two lifts. For the 2015 model year, the grill, headlights and lamps were changed, a 7" multimedia screen with the Entune system appeared. For the 2018 model year, a new grill has appeared (2 variants to choose from). After the facelift of the Toyota Sienna, the engine was changed to a 3.5 V6 with an 8-speed gearbox, the Entune system was updated, and the list of standard equipment included, among others, adaptive cruise control and a lane keeping assistant.

The car was initially offered with an in-line engine, but was quickly changed to a V6. In the Toyota Sienna, the combustion for the 3.5 V6 version is only about 10.7 l/100 km in the combined cycle, which can be considered a good result. The engines in the model Sienna III gen. were as follows:

2.7 R4 (1AR-FE) - offered in 2011-2012, power 187 hp;
3.5 V6 (2GR-FE) - offered from 2011 to 2016, power 266 hp;
3.5 V6 (2GR-FKS) - offered in 2017-2020, power 296 hp.

Toyota Sienna was offered in several trim levels. Already in the basic one you could count on interesting amenities.

Toyota Sienna III gen. trim levels:

L (2011-2016) - 3-zone climate control, 6'1" screen, 7 seats (2+2+3), rear view camera;
LE - as in L, but has, among others, electrically opening side doors on both sides, the Entune system with a 7" screen, heated front seats, optional 8 seats, since 2018 Toyota Safety Sense package;
SE - as in LE, but additionally acquired a sporty look, has a lowered suspension, leather-fabric seats, sports seats in front, JBL audio system, optionally a panoramic roof;
XLE - as in LE, but additionally has, among others, leather upholstery, 4-way electrically adjustable seats, 4-zone climate control, keyless system, electrically opening tailgate, navigation, optional 360 camera;
Limited - the richest version, equipment as in XLE and additionally seats with memory and ventilation, JBL audio system, rear screen with echo sounder. DVD, xenon headlights, panoramic roof.

Toyota Sienna - IV generation (2020-present)

The latest generation of the Sienna model hit the market in the fall of 2020, and it is already exclusively a hybrid. It is based on the TNGA-K platform, common with the Camry and RAV4 models. It can have front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Instead of an automatic transmission, there is a CVT, which provides an even smoother ride.

So far, the car has not undergone any facelift, but in 2024 it received a minor update. Changes include a new 12'3" screen in Toyota Sienna XLE and higher, a rear seat passenger detection system, wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a vacuum cleaner and a refrigerator have appeared in the equipment options.

Woodland Edition - from 2022, equipment as in XLE, ground clearance increased by 15 mm, roof rails, towbar, Woodland markings;
Limited - as in the XLE and additionally captain's seats in the 2nd row, air conditioning with preconditioning function;
Platinum - as in Limited and additionally LED headlights Matrix, head-up display, 360 camera, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, massage seats.
