The Tesla brand brought a real breakthrough in the automotive industry, as it led to the popularization of cars with electric drive. Technically advanced cars with attractive appearance and good range made people start switching to electrics. Currently, the manufacturer even has its own factory in Germany. If you are thinking about buying, we have prepared for you an overview of the Tesla range - all car models with tips on which one to choose.

Tesla has been on the market since 2003. The manufacturer debuted with the sports model Tesla Roadster, but now the company focuses on practical cars. Therefore, the car models available in the Tesla brand range are sedans and SUVs. However, it is not excluded that the first model of the American brand will return in a new version. We have prepared for you an overview of all cars, broken down by generation and detailing the most important information. We will also tell you more about the Autopilot system and other solutions from the manufacturer.

Autopilot and yoke - how does it work?

Autopilot

Autopilot and yoke are the hallmarks of Tesla cars, so it's worth knowing more about them. Autopilot is an advanced driver assistance system that offers partial driving automation. The cameras collect information about the environment, allowing the driver to see more and more easily avoid potential hazards, as well as increasing the level of driving safety in autonomous mode. Autopilot, of course, is a big simplification, because the whole thing consists of several functions:

  • Traffic-Aware Cruise Control (TACC) - maintains the set speed and adjusts it to traffic on the road, maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle in front;
  • Autosteer - helps keep the car in the lane and can support lane change on highways when conditions allow;
  • Enhanced Autopilot - an additional package that includes functions such as Navigate on Autopilot (autonomous navigation), Auto Lane Change (automatic lane change), Autopark (automatic parking) and Summon (calling a car from a parking space);
  • Full Self-Driving (FSD) - the highest level, which adds the ability to respond to traffic lights and stop signs, but still requires driver supervision. FSD is currently in beta.

Yoke

Yoke is an original and innovative steering system from the Tesla brand. The new S and X series models received it in 2021. Instead of the traditional steering wheel, there is a device that resembles the rudders of an aircraft. On the right side there is a scroll button that is used to control the functions of the Autopilot package. Users are divided on the issue of opinions about this solution. Opponents say that it makes it difficult to maneuver the car in tight spaces and is unintuitive. In the end, everything remains a matter of habit.

Tesla - an overview of models and generations

Tesla Model S

The car was launched in 2012, and it was he who contributed to the interest of customers in the brand Tesla from the USA. The Tesla Roadster is treated a bit as a natural curiosity, but it has provided the manufacturer with notoriety. We distinguish 3 generations of this car.

In 2017, the manufacturer introduced the Model 3, which allows you to become the owner of a car of the American brand, enjoy efficient drives and at the same time do it on a slightly more limited budget. So far, two generations of this model have been created.

Generation I (2017-2023)

The first generation Tesla Model 3 was launched in 2017 and has quite a few variants that differ in performance and performance. The equipment is slightly poorer than that of the Model S, but we can still talk about high comfort and good quality interior trim. On cars manufactured before April 2019, you need to make sure that the previous owner activated the Autopilot function, since it was paid extra.

The first generation Model Y in the base version offers 5 seats, but you can also buy a 7-seater version. However, users say that the extra seats are more suitable for children. summary

Over the years, Tesla has built up a pretty sizable lineup of models, and they are in demand in the aftermarket. The fact that they are also increasingly appearing as taxis is a testament to their endurance and battery performance. In case of importation cars from the USA there may be differences in equipment in favor of American copies. Although Tesla has a factory in Europe, importing from the United States is profitable because electric cars are not taxed. You just have to reckon with the fact that you may need an adapter for charging in Europe. However, this is a negligible expense. At Bryki of America we can bring you the Tesla model of your choice. All you have to do is define your expectations and budget, and we will find the right car to suit your needs!
