Kia Sorento — I and II gen.

Although the first generations of the Sorento model are not profitable to import from the USA, they are still worth mentioning. The car began its career in a not very successful way, since its silhouette did not attract with its appearance, and in addition, the first versions had poor results in safety tests. However, in the following years, the situation improved and in the second generation Sorento received 5 stars in Euro NCAP tests and the title of “Top Safety Pick” of the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It is also worth mentioning that the second generation of the Sorento model was the first Kia car to be produced in the USA. Also interesting is the engine installed in the Kia Sorento with the factory LPG installation, but it was not offered overseas.

The third generation of the Sorento model is in no way like the previous ones. It is a large, luxury SUV that comes in two versions — for 5 and for 7 people. The base is a floor slab from the Carnival model. The car is longer than its predecessor by 95 mm. It also has a lowered suspension, which has affected the improvement of handling. Kia also claimed that the body's rigidity was increased by 14 percent.

In 2018, the car underwent a facelift, which consisted in refreshing the appearance of the bumpers and dummy engine, all trim versions received new LED headlights with daytime running lights and LED taillights. In the Kia Sorento, the interior has acquired a third row of seats as part of the standard equipment.

• SX Limited — top version, enriched in comparison with the EX with a head-up display, massage seats, blind spot monitoring system, parking assistant and all-wheel drive as standard.

Kia Sorento — IV gen. (2020 - present)

The new generation of the Sorento model was a real shock therapy, because the silhouette of the car has become even more dignified and brings to mind premium cars, with which it can compete without complexes. The car has grown again. The wheelbase has been increased by 35 mm and the overall length by 10 mm. The diesel engine disappeared from the offer. Initially, it was possible to buy only the version with a gasoline engine, but over time the option of hybrid and plug-in hybrid drives joined.

In the US market, the car is offered in 4 engine versions, including as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid. In gasoline variants, you can choose between front-axle and all-wheel drive. Hybrids in the US market are only available with AWD drive. In the case of all-wheel drive, the system automatically distributes power and torque to each wheel to ensure stability while driving.
