Jeep Renegade BU (2015-2023)
The first generation Jeep Renegade was produced in the USA and Italy. Thanks to this, the manufacturer was able to optimize costs. It was based on the Small Wide 4x4 platform, which was designed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and later its production was continued by Stellantis. The structure is built of high-strength steel. For weight reduction, the hood, doors and roof are made of aluminum. The suspension is a classic combination of McPherson columns at the front and multi-link at the rear. In the Trailhawk version, the car has increased ground clearance.
On sale were both versions that have front-wheel drive (FWD), and options with a 4x4 drive, equipped with Jeep's flagship system - Selec-Terrain. It allows you to adapt the operating characteristics of the drive to the road surface and terrain.
In 2018, the first facelift of the Jeep Renegade appeared. The interior has received new finishing materials, the UConnect 4 multimedia system with an 8.4" screen, ambient lighting, a new steering wheel and improved cabin silence appeared. Visual changes from the outside included a grill and LED headlights. Added ADAS systems - blind spot monitoring system and adaptive cruise control. A new 1.3 Turbo engine was introduced, accompanied by a new 9-speed gearbox.

With this facelift, the Jeep Renegade 2.4 engine was discontinued, and with it the front-axle drive.
