Electric cars are primarily associated with Tesla and its owner, Elon Musk. More and more manufacturers with an established position in the market are also trying to release new models, but none of them has yet fully met the expectations of customers. Will it be the Lucid Air, which we have recently been able to order in Europe?

What is the success of Lucid Air?

So far, the new brand is only breaking through with its models both in the United States and in Europe. Currently, there is an opportunity to purchase in many European countries. First of all, it is worth highlighting which customer Lucid Air is targeting. This is primarily a luxury limousine, having an electric drive. We can meet it in two versions — Range and Performance. Each of them performed brilliantly in the tests. In addition to a fast and efficient energy supply, the cars have really good acceleration, which in the more advanced version is 2.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

Lucid Air — fast charging time

Of course, both in the case of Tesla, as well as other electric cars known to us on the European market, the most controversy and voices of dissatisfaction are caused by the battery. This applies to both issues related to the mileage itself, as well as the charging speed. The Lucid Air stands out against this background not only in relation to Tesla, but also to other models. The Range version has an incredible range of almost 900 kilometers, while in the case of the Performance models we are talking about 799 kilometers here. It should also be mentioned about the charging speed. Lucid Air takes just 15 minutes to recharge enough energy to cover 400 kilometers. For comparison, at charging stations available in Poland, it takes about 40 minutes to charge a Tesla to 80 percent.

Do I have to bring a car from the United States?

Importing cars from the USA is not a necessity in this case, as the Lucid Air has passed all the necessary tests and can be operated within the European Union. It is on sale in exclusive salons in Geneva, Switzerland, Hilversum in the Netherlands, as well as Munich, located in the south of Germany. It is currently cheaper in the United States than in the European market. In Polish currency, for the Ocean we would pay 750 thousand zlotys for such a car, while in Europe it costs about a million.
