Car purchase and transport to Poland

Describing the process of bringing American cars to Poland, let us immediately go to the most important issues, that is, all stages following the choice of a specific model and making a purchase decision. When it comes to buying a car itself and transporting it to our country, it is worth asking for help from professionals. Otherwise, you have to go to the USA personally, which, of course, is associated with large costs. Pargîdaniyên ku bi vî rengî bi profesyonelî ne komîsyonên piçûk hene, hûn jî neçar in ku lêçûnên veguhastinê di konteynerê de hilgirin, lê di dawiyê de ew vebijarkek pir bikêr e. We also save a considerable amount of time and stress, because the independent organization of such a large undertaking can be associated with numerous logistical problems for an inexperienced person.

Settlement with the Tax Office

Alas, after bringing the car to Poland, an unpleasant visit to the Tax Office awaits us. We have to pay the customs duty (10% of the value of the passenger car) and the excise tax, which is calculated on the basis of the engine capacity of the car. Con una unidad de poder más de 2,0 l, la baca es 3.1% del valor del carro. For a car with an engine with a capacity above this value, we will already pay 18.6%. Finally, there is the issue of VAT, the value of which is counted from the value of the car + customs duty. Importantly, the final amount depends on the country in which we pay the tax. If an imported car is sent to a port in Germany, the VAT will be 19%. In Poland, this amount increases to 23%.

Registrazione e altri formalii

According to the current regulations, the owner of a car from outside the EU must register his new acquisition within 30 days. This involves several formalities. The official will also ask for proof of purchase of the car, current inspection, proof of customs clearance and confirmation of tax payment. As a general overview, it is worth paying attention to the lighting, since the headlights and turn signals will have to be replaced with those that have EU approval. Most likely, other minor repairs will be necessary, which will be indicated to you by your mechanic.

It is true that bringing and registering a car from the United States is not one of the simplest things. Fortunately, there are companies like ours on the market that will be happy to help you go through this process efficiently and quickly!
