These include both American brands such as Ford or General Motors, as well as foreign ones, that is, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Mitsubishi, Mercedes, BMW and Volvo, among others. Today we will briefly discuss the history of the American automotive market.

Period of first inventions: 1900-1909
The first American cars were a mechanized version of horse-drawn sleds. Their production began in 1900-1903. These vehicles were powered by steam or electric motors, and their maximum speed did not exceed 25 km/h. In 1906-1909, the first cars began to be produced, the appearance of which was close to the cars of our time. An example is the popular Hupmobile model.
Period of Innovation: 1910-1919
The period of innovation in the American automotive market is primarily the time of introducing various types of amenities such as a permanent roof or an electric starter. Thanks to this, cars have become safer and easier to operate. At that time, there was also the idea that cars should be available to everyone. The main implementer of this principle, or course, was Henry Ford.
Development period: 1920-1929
With the rapid development of the automobile, the standard of living in America changed: more roads, streets and bridges began to be built. A, 90% of manufactured cars already had a permanent roof and a comfortable cabin. An indisputable breakthrough was the appearance of an extravagant model, the manufacturer of which was the Hudson-Essex company. In a short time, it dominates almost the entire market there. It is worth adding that between 1920 and 1930, 23 million cars were registered in America!
Classic Car Period: 1930-1939
Between 1920 and 1947, General Motors filed 186 patents, which concerned, among others, leaded gasoline, freon, electric starter or a set of modified paints used to paint car bodies. From 1930 to 1939, special emphasis was placed on various types of research and testing, which, as a result, were to significantly develop the automotive market in America. In 1964, Ford introduced a new Ford Mustang at the New York Motor Show. In later years, many new versions of this car were created, which for a long time completely dominated the American automotive market. Ford Mustang uncompromisingly entered American history and remains in it to this day. Over the years, successive generations of this model were created: Generation I — 1965 — 1973, Generation II — 1974-1978 Generation III — 1979- 1993 Generation IV - 1994- 2004 Generation V - 2005 -2014 Generation VI - 2015 — present.
